Jesse Purdon

Board Member

Deputy Mayor.
City of Bonita Springs.

Deputy Mayor Jesse Purdon is a proud husband and father, he is a resident of Bonita Springs, District 2. Purdon was first elected in 2020, in a special election, and was reelected nine months later. As District 2’s representative, he has led the fight to develop Bonita Spring’s downtown, advocates for law enforcement and fights for our water quality.

As a Bonita Springs Councilman, he has brought back major dollars to his district, which has been historically overlooked, putting dollars into the community where it is needed on a ground level. He is the representative for City of Bonita Springs on Florida League of Cities; the representative for the Economic Development Council for SWFL Inc.; the City of Bonita Springs Outreach Committee liaison; and is the City of Bonita Springs liaison to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Jesse is also on the Board of Directors for FGCU Vestor Marine Laboratory and Habitat for Humanity.

Since 2020 Jesse has fought to develop our downtown. He has increased the size of our community police force, including getting us our own detective for major crimes. He has helped the city bring home dollars from Tallahassee and Washington DC and most recently he was the lead negotiator on behalf of the city to get the Wonder Gardens relationship and operating agreement back on track. He is delivering new roads and much needed soccer fields to the children of Bonita Springs.

Jesse also serves as Senior Advisor to Congressman Byron Donalds.
